In a post of mine on green vehicles ideas for the police, I attached an image of a British cop using a Segway-like 2-wheeler as an alternative to a cruiser.
Looks like the Chinese stole the idea from the Brits.
Yes, but do the Brits use them to play One, Two, Three...Red LIGHT!?
No, the British police stakeout metro lines and when the announcer says, "Please mind the gap," and people don't, the tourists are arrested.
The roads in central Beijing are in excellent condition. The sidewalks are wide enough to drive tanks on which, come to think of it, the Chinese army has done.
