Welcome Hopscotch

You had me at Salmon BLTs.

The Daily News has a nice report on the new downtown eatery. Glad to see no one lost their shirts on the short-lived Theory. In fact, the same owner will be running Hopscotch.

Sounds like he can recognize good advice.

Wouldn't a Salmon BLT actually be an SLT? Or, does he insert salmon along with the bacon?

The BLT is another one of those foods that I believe should not be tampered with. Of course, when I make them, I use peanut butter instead of mayonnaise.

Can be united with lettuce and tomato...

And forged into one hell of a sandwich.

According to the web site for the Grilled Cheese Invitational (www.grilledcheeseinvitational.com), this is the Year of the Sammich.

The Salmon BLT will have to wait its turn.

Looking forward to trying it. I'm still waiting for someone to open a vegetarian/vegan place in Newburyport. When will that happen? Not many options in town for us veg-heads.
