i believe when the story broke about the sale of the church's land, the developer said they were going to renovate the church, and build ONE home, leave the corner lot as a grassy area. Can't remember if that was in the DN or the Current, but I remember reading it and thinking that was reasonable. Obviously, as with most promises by developers, they ignored it, and no one has called them on it.

I'm assuming that's not the case. It's fairly hard to sneak another building in there when plans have been approved. I can't find the article though.
