Apologies for the absence. Spent the past few week equipping the house to withstand an onslaught of four-year-olds, enduring the rain in Conway, NH, visiting Storyland for the first (and not last time), turning 40 and popping Advil.
At the risk of exposing me as a carpet bagging newbie (ooops, too late), I'd like to ask where and when the Newburyport Nationals came on the scene? I'm referring, of course, to the team written about in the Daily News on Tuesday. Do they play in town? If so when? Is there a web site? Am I the only jamoke with a remote interest in watching them play?
BTW, Nick's Pizza and Andyman's cake rocked the house on Saturday when we had The Boy's birthday party. But the ice cream truck we'd arranged to have stop by the house might have won the day.

The Nationals won the state title last year. They beat Easton, Ma in two games. Easton was 53-0 and came in second in the Nation down in Texas the previous year. Not until they met the Nationals did they lose.
