This clearly isn't the worst news related to the crash on 95. But High and Merrimac Streets are a mess as is Route 1 North.

If you don't need to leave home, don't.

And prayers for those who nine who were seriously injured.

I lived and worked up here in 1990s. Life and career led me away for a while but I’m very thankful both allowed me to return. A little background, I grew up in Revere. Went to BU. Worked as a reporter at a few newspapers before landing at The Daily News. I moved on from here. I married quite well, and we have two great kids. I kept writing. No more fires or city council meetings. Now I write for a magazine. It's interesting stuff, but I still have a hankering to write about this place. So I do. I also sit on the Newburyport Redevelopment Authority.
