Lost Dog

North End residents if you see a brown spaniel roaming the streets his name might be Gus. He was hit by a car this morning on High Street but still managed to run off down Tyng. Call 978-394-1066 if you see him.

I suspect he slipped out of a backyard or house. The owner wasn't around when the dog got hit in the AM.; June 28, 2011 at 3:07 PM

I lived and worked up here in 1990s. Life and career led me away for a while but I’m very thankful both allowed me to return. A little background, I grew up in Revere. Went to BU. Worked as a reporter at a few newspapers before landing at The Daily News. I moved on from here. I married quite well, and we have two great kids. I kept writing. No more fires or city council meetings. Now I write for a magazine. It's interesting stuff, but I still have a hankering to write about this place. So I do. I also sit on the Newburyport Redevelopment Authority.
