Hmmm, Senior Center?

This place provided the family a great deal of comfort when we lived in Central, Mass. Sad to see it go.

Oh, and hellllooooooo Loretta. Welcome to town.

We'll see who has the longer lines, the BBQ or the neighboring Grezzo, the raw food place. (Actually I'm eager to try Grezzo.)

I don't always agree with Gillian but BBQ is always good news...

You don't, Ed? I'm shocked! ;O)

Let's bring the focus back to the BBQ.....

Visited an Argentine restaurant in Arlington a few months back with my dad, who hails from there. Man, talk about meat lovers. I didn't realize how many of my childhood meals were Argentine.

I mean who else would put a fried egg on top of a breaded, fried veal cutlet?!!

So wrong, yet so good.

Dad's from Argentina, not Arlington.

Gillian,

Another thing we agree on Gillian is that Hana Sushi, the Japanese restaurant in Port Plaza, is excellent.

I'm very excited about the BBQ as well. I also concur that Hana Sushi is the best sushi in GNBPT.
Has anyone tried Cafe Europa yet? I'm curious about the Lebanese-Italian combo.

Well, Ed, agreeing about what's good food is way more important than agreeing about city business! Sorry, Tom, for veering off topic again.

I'm intrigued by Europa as well. I took a gander at the menu, looked fairly simple and straightfoward. But I'm eager to give it a try.

Frankly I think the place would benefit from a complete facelift on the exterior. Something that helps it stand out a bit.

I hear it's very good. Planning on trying it out sooner or later. One of my favorite Boston restaurants was the little hole-in-the-wall middle eastern place on Bowdoin St., around the corner from my apt. It turned into an Italian place right before I moved here. I hate it when that happens.

Hi,

Cafe Europa is amazing.

Anyone remember Bishops in Lawrence? Now we have our own version.

I've been to Europa twice, and both times were great. The hummus is perfect. Just the right mix of flavors.

So far i've had the stuffed cabbage and the grape leaves. Both come with a very large salad. And the pasta dish I tried (a cream sauce) is excellent.

Good luck to Mike and his family. Great food and good people.

thanks,
sds

Europa is not open for lunch, though, from what I can tell. The NBPT Biz web designer and I tried to go there for lunch one day and it wasn't open so we went to Oregano instead. Oregano has some good lunch specials, btw. I hope the BBQ place is real, like Redbones at Davis Square, and doesn't just pour BBQ sauce over the meat like American BBQ does.
